Activity Fee

All Hayden Re-1 students are subject to a fee for each district identified activity in which they participate according to Hayden Board Policy I-17.0. Identified activities are all sports. Fees will be according to the following rate schedule:

High School
First activity - $50.00
Second activity - $25.00
Third activity - No fee

Middle School
First activity - $30.00
Second activity - $15.00
Third activity - No fee

The maximum fee for an individual high school student per year is $75.00; for a middle school student this maximum is $45.00. Combined fees for activities offered during the regular school term shall not exceed $200 per individual family.

Students who voluntarily drop from an activity within ten (10) days after enrolling, any student who is injured or becomes ill within thirty (30) days at the senior high level or the first twenty (20) days at the middle school level and cannot complete the season, or any student who is dropped from a team because of playing ability will have the fee refunded on a pro-rated basis. Middle school is defined as grades six through eight; high school is defined as grades nine through twelve.

Students who are dropped from a sport or other activity for violations of local or Colorado High School Activity Association eligibility requirements may not obtain refunds.

A student may indicate his or her athletic or activity interests and pay all fees at the beginning fo the school year. Should he/she change his/her mind about participation, it will be the student's responsibility to request any refund that may be due.

Any student for whom fees are a hardship will have the opportunity to work out arrangements with the principal and/or athletic director.

Participants in activities who are not enrolled in Hayden Schools will be subject to fees according to the following schedule:

High School
First activity - $75.00
Second activity - $37.50
Third activity No Fee

Middle School
First activity - $45.00
Second activity $22.50
Third activity - No Fee

Family limit - $300.00
Student Fee

A $10.00 student fee will be assessed to all students upon entry to Hayden Schools. Funds raised from this fee will be used to offset costs of local and some distant academic field trips, costs of student clubs and organizations, and admission to all regularly scheduled school athletic, music, or drama events (excludes tournaments, playoffs, or special events).

All students are subject to this fee, which is non-refundable. Any student for whom this fee is a hardship will have the opportunity to work out arrangements with the building principal.

Fees for students who move into the district will be prorated according to the following schedule:

Before school starts and prior to 1st quarter midterm - $10.00

After 1st quarter midterm and prior to 2nd quarter midterm - $7.50

After 2nd quarter midterm and prior to 3rd quarter midterm - $5.00

After 3rd quarter midterm and prior to 4th quarter midterm - $2.50

After 4th quarter midterm - No Fee
