Visitor Management System Letter
Dear Hayden School District Families & Community,
We are committed to the safety and security of all students, staff, and visitors across our schools. As part of this commitment, we are excited to share that we are implementing a new Raptor Visitor Management System for the 2025–2026 school year.
Starting this fall, all visitors to our school buildings during the school day will be required to check in using our new Raptor Kiosk, located at the main office. This system will enhance our ability to keep our schools safe while ensuring a more efficient and consistent check-in process.
What to Expect When Visiting:
Check-In Process:
Visitors will be asked to present a government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license). The ID will be scanned into the Raptor system, which screens it against public databases to ensure that no flagged individuals gain access to our buildings.Printed Visitor Badges:
Once approved, the kiosk will print a visitor badge that must be worn visibly while on campus. The badge includes the visitor's name, photo, and reason for visit.Check-Out Process:
Visitors must return to the front desk to check out before leaving the building. This helps us maintain accurate records of who is in our schools at any given time.
Why This Matters:
The Raptor system provides an additional layer of safety by:
Screening for individuals who may pose a threat to students and staff
Keeping accurate records of all visitors, contractors, and volunteers
Enhancing our emergency management and response capabilities
Important Notes:
The system does not store your ID image and only uses necessary information to perform the screening.
The Raptor system is only active during school hours and does not affect attendance at public events (games, performances, etc.) outside of the instructional day.
We appreciate your support and cooperation as we continue working to make Hayden School District a safe and welcoming place for all. If you have any questions or concerns about the Raptor Visitor Management System, please contact your school’s main office.
Thank you for being a valued partner in your child’s education and safety!
