Hayden Recreational Co-Ed Youth Football Registration Open!

Dear Hayden Middle School Families,
We are so excited to introduce something brand new this year — the first-ever Hayden Middle School Summer
Spark — Where Learning Sparks Imagination!
Summer Spark is a unique opportunity for students to stay engaged, curious, and connected during the summer
break. This is not your typical summer school — it’s a hands-on, high-energy, project-based experience designed to
ignite creativity and make learning come alive. Whether your child loves science, solving problems, building things,
or just trying something new, Summer Spark has something for them.
Each session includes:
● Exciting, Cross-Curricular Projects
○ Students will dive into meaningful tasks that blend math, science, reading, art, and critical thinking —
making learning feel fun and relevant.
● STEM Challenges That Spark Innovation
○ From designing and testing inventions to exploring real-world problems, students will learn by doing.
● A Weekly Field Trip + Free Lunch on Thursdays
○ Each session ends with an off-site learning adventure that connects classroom ideas to the world
around us.
Program Details:
● Session 1: July 7–10
● Session 2: July 14–17
● Monday–Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
● Thursday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Students may participate in one session only. Registration is first-come, first-served, and we expect spots to fill
quickly.
Register here by June 26th: bit.ly/hms-summersspark
This program is free of charge, and run by a passionate team of HMS teachers — Mr. Campo, Mrs. Willems, Mr.
Hayes, and Mrs. Smith — who are committed to helping students thrive.

Kic Week is this week. Kindness is contagious, and it is a nationally celebrated week dedicated to spreading kindness to those around you. On Thursday please wear green to show your dedication to be kind.

Join us for a delicious dinner in support of the 5th grade class! Your participation will help them reach their fundraising goal for an exciting overnight field trip to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.

Representatives from Mountain Valley Bank came to Hayden to speak with students in the Senior class. The students learned more about banking, saving, and investing from those who know it best. Thank you for helping our students grow.

Dear Future Preschool Families,
We’re pleased to announce our participation in the Colorado Universal Preschool program! Doing so allows you to receive funding towards our high-quality preschool services. All children in the year before kindergarten (4 year olds) are eligible for up to 15 hours of funding per week – and potentially more. Last year, families saved an average of $600 a month. Have a 3 year old and interested in funding support fill out our in house scholarship form.
The enrollment for Universal Preschool is open now, and we’d love to serve your family in 2025-2026. Thanks to a new enrollment process, it’s now easier than ever to “match” with us in the Universal Preschool Portal. We now have Pre-Registration this allows families with children already enrolled, children with siblings already enrolled, or children of an employee in the district to “match” with us directly! Below is a link that will directly match you with the classroom of your choice. Pre-Registration must be completed by March 17.

Reminder to Parents about Children at our Sporting/School Events
Dear Parents,
As we work to create a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone at our sporting events, we kindly ask that all children remain with their parents or guardians and be supervised at all times. This ensures the safety of all attendees and helps maintain a positive experience for everyone. This fall we’ve noticed children running in the lobby and throwing balls, which can be disruptive and pose safety concerns. Administrators at games have continually had had to ask children to please stop running and messing around in the athletic halls and concession area. We love having the youth here to support our teams but they need to do so in the gym with you!
Thank you for your cooperation and support in making our events successful and secure for all!
